Aluna Capital Trust — Investing in the Future of Early Education
Q: What is Aluna Capital Trust?
Aluna Capital Trust is a Mutual Fund Trust (MFT) created to support the real estate and operational expansion of early learning centres. It allows families, friends, staff, and community members to invest directly in high-quality early childhood education while earning financial returns in tax deferred accounts (like an RRSP etc.).
Q: Can I use funds from my existing registered account?
Yes. If you already have investments held in another RRSP, TFSA, RESP, RRIF, or LIRA at a bank or financial institution, you can transfer part of those funds into your Olympia Trust self-directed account.
This is done through a CRA-approved T2033 transfer form through your existing bank or investment vehicle. The process is tax-deferred — you don’t lose your registered status.
Q: Can I invest using my annual contribution room?
Yes. If you have unused contribution room in your RRSP or TFSA, you can make a new contribution into your Olympia Trust account and direct those funds into Aluna Capital Trust. Contributions are subject to CRA annual contribution limits.
Where to find your limits:
- RRSP contribution room can be found on your latest CRA Notice of Assessment (NOA) or by logging into your CRA My Account.
- TFSA contribution room is also shown on your CRA My Account under “RRSP and TFSA details.”
Q: What is the minimum investment?
The minimum investment is $500 CAD. This makes it possible for families and individuals to participate meaningfully, whether as a financial opportunity or as a long-term gift.
Q: How often can I invest?
You can invest more than once, provided each contribution meets the minimum of $500 CAD. The investment opportunity will remain open during the current subscription window, and will close once we either:
- Reach our fundraising target, or
- Hit a specified closing date
After the window closes, no new investments can be accepted until a future offering is opened.
Q: Why is a Mutual Fund Trust (MFT) being used?
Through a Mutual Fund Trust (MFT), investors can hold units in registered accounts such as RRSPs, TFSAs, and RESPs, unlocking the potential for tax-deferred or tax-free growth while supporting the expansion of high-quality early education.
Q: What are the key benefits of investing?

Q: Why is early learning so important?
Early childhood is the most critical stage of human development. In the first six years of life, up to 90% of brain growth occurs, shaping a child’s ability to think, learn, and build healthy relationships. During this period, children develop the foundations for language, problem-solving, emotional regulation, and social connection — skills that influence their success throughout life.
Expanding access to early learning addresses two urgent needs: reducing the number of families left in “childcare deserts” without quality options, and ensuring children benefit from environments that nurture their cognitive and emotional growth.
At the same time, investment in early learning strengthens communities by creating stable, meaningful careers for educators and supporting parents to pursue work or education with confidence. In short: when we invest in early learning, we invest in healthier children, stronger families, and a more resilient society.
